The Financial Management Department of the University will grant scholarships, student subsidies and other allowances via the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China. For convenient study and living of international students, fresh international students will be collectively organized by the International Students Office after formal registration to open respective accounts with the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China.

Upon opening a bank account, an international student is required to provide his or her original passport and telephone number in China.

Any international student who intends to have any business transaction with another bank may personally conduct such transaction by holding a certification issued by the International Students Office.

Any international student losing his or her bank card may go to the opening bank by holding his or her own passport or personally call the opening bank to report the loss; after the loss is reported, he or she may, by presenting corresponding certification issued by the International Students Office and within the time limit specified by the bank, have a new card issued as a replacement at the bank counter.

In general circumstances, loss report of a bank card will not affect credit of scholarships, student subsidies or any other allowances normally granted. After the replacement is issued, the student may inquire about the balance for verification. In case of any inconsistency, the student may consult the International Students Office.

After a replacement is issued, the student should submit a copy of his or her passport, bank receipt and the number-carrying side of the bank card to the International Students Office for update of his or her personal information in the financial system.
