According to relevant rules by the Ministry of Education of China, all international students are required to be medically insured throughout their entire planned period of study in China (see more details in Chinese Safety Comprehensive Insurance Plan). The medical insurance for international students in China is 400CNY for a semester and 800CNY for a year. Students who sponsored by Chinese Government Scholarship, Confucius Institute Scholarship and Chongqing Municipal Government Mayor Scholarships do not need to pay for the insurance, as it’s covered by the scholarship. Students who sponsored by other scholarships or is self-founded should pay the premium by themselves.

Please carefully note that ONLY PUBLIC HOSPITALS are able to accept this insurance. When you need to see a doctor, please call 4008105119 EXT 1 (bilingual service available 24 hours a day) for medical consultation. The insurance company will provide appropriate services, such as illness consultations, treatment suggestions, and information about web-based hospitals, advanced payments, and insurance claims.
