In order to encourage more outstanding international students to pursue a higher education in Chongqing, facilitate the internationalization of the higher education institutions in Chongqing, Chongqing Municipal Government launches the Chongqing Municipal Government Mayor Scholarship.

I. Eligibility

The applicant wishes to be a degree student (bachelor degree / master degree/master degree) at Chongqing Normal University for at least one year.

II. Requirement

1. Applicants must be non-Chinese in good health.

2. Applicants for bachelor degree must have a high school diploma and be under the age of 25.

3. Applicants for master degree must have a bachelor degree, and be under the age of 35.

4. Applicants for doctor degree must have a bachelor degree, and be under the age of 40.

4. Students who have won other scholarships are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.

5. Applicants who are studying in Chongqing Normal University are not allowed to apply this scholarship.

6. Students who are studying at Chongqing Normal University cannot apply this scholarship

III. Coverage of Scholarship

The coverage of scholarship should be not longer than the normal years for undergraduate/ graduate program.

IV. Application Procedure

1. Complete the online application for the “International Students Management system of Chongqing Normal University"

Applicants should Log in to the website of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office of Chongqing Normal University, register in the “International Students Management system of Chongqing Normal University" (http://foreignstudent.cqnu.edu.cn) and submit the required materials.

2. Send the application materials

All the application documents should be printed and send to International Office of Chongqing Normal University in triplicate (one original and two copies). Application materials will not be returned regardless of the result of application.

V. Application materials

1. Chongqing Municipal Application form (Attachment 1) and Chongqing Normal University application Form (Attachment 2)

2. Highest diploma attained or proof of study (notarized photocopy). Applicants who are students currently studying at Chongqing Normal University shall also provide a Study Certificate and transcripts from Chongqing Normal University. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with translations in Chinese or English.

3. Transcripts of the most advanced studies (notarized photocopy).

4. Study plan (written in Chinese or English).

5. HSK4 Copy for undergraduate students and HSK5 Copy for graduate or doctor students.

6. Two letters of recommendation. Applicants for master /doctor degree shall provide two letters of recommendation by associate professors or professors.

7. Examples of arts and music work (only for the applicants applying for Fine Arts and Music).

8. Copy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form (for applicants who are currently not studying at Chongqing Normal University) See Attachment

9. Copy of passport.

10. No criminal record certification

11. Bank deposit certificate (no less than 25,000 RMB )
